-You did a show recently and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were in the audience, is that right?
-I didn’t know they were there and I have a bit in my act that sort of makes fun of Justin Bieber and some of these young pop stars.  
It’s a song and it mocks bascially the way that those songs are written.

I love her previous covers, and I can’t wait to see her new ones.  

Mary GrandPre is one of the artists whose work inspired me to follow the path of being an illustrator in the first place.

Do you know that she didn’t want to get her image of the characters mixed up with the actors for the movies, so she didn’t see any of them until after the seventh book was published.  THAT ladies, and gentlemen, is dedication.

Also, those third and fourth drawings have such beautiful color, movement, and atmosphere.  I sort of want both as posters for my wall…

When I found out that she was an alum of MCAD I just about squealed in excitement.

Steve Hampton: Figure Drawing: Design and Invention.

I took one of his classes back when I went to art school and he’s an incredible professor and instructor. I’d advise people to look through his studies and even buy his book. It’s not necessarily how to draw correct anatomy but to know it while making it stylized. His class basically teaches the mechanics of the body while using imagination. 

Seriously, I recommend anyone to attending one of his online workshops. It’s kind of pricey but much more affordable than what I paid. Then again I had my own benefits.
