  • hufflepuffs that curse like sailors and that look like they could definitely fuck you up if they wanted to
  • slytherin that are really nice and sweet who constantly ask how your days going and if you need help with something

The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken (DutchKoninklijke Serres van LakenFrenchSerres Royales de Laeken), are a vast complex of monumental heated greenhouses in the park of the Royal Palace of Laeken in the north of Brussels. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city.

The complex was commissioned by King Leopold II and designed by Alphonse Balat. Built between 1874 and 1895, the complex was finished with the completion of the so-called “Iron Church”, a domed greenhouse that would originally serve as the royal chapel. The total floor surface of this immense complex is 2.5 hectares (270,000 square feet). 800,000 liters (over 200,000 US gallons) of fuel oil are needed each year to heat the buildings.

The complex can only be visited during a two-week period in April–May each year, when most flowers are in full bloom.

uuuugh, this still isn’t right but I need a break from it. Something about the colours/contrast I just can’t get right. Still tossing up whether to add Toothless or not? I had him sketched up on the right horn.

Anyway, about to go in to spoilers, so if you haven’t seen How to Train Your Dragon 2 look away now. And go see it, you are missing out on one of the best ever animated movies.

****spoilers****

I totally can’t remember what Stoick’s statue looked like so I’m not even going to pretend this is accurate. A whole bunch of artistic licence going on.

I imagine Hiccup flying up there to talk things out when he is stuck on a ‘chief’ type problem. Sometimes it’s nice to think he still listens, wherever he is.

Watching Hiccup become chief was kind of sad. He’s an awesome leader and I think he will do a great job, but it’s like watching a bird have it’s wings clipped. He would do it out of obligation, but not with the same passion Stoick had. It would be hard to think about feeding a village when your heart is soaring in the skies on the back of a dragon.

I wouldn’t be surprised if part of the last movie/s is about both Hiccup and Toothless flying away from their new responsibilities as fast as possible.
